WHAT ARE ACNE TRIGGERS?
The primary aggravating factor leading to adult acne is chronic
stress. It can also be genetic or hereditary. Some other culprits are cosmetics and hair care products that contain fragrances and plastics. A person’s diet can affect acne by eating foods that contain too much sugar and sometimes dairy products can cause an outbreak. As well as the environment, which includes UV rays, seasons, climate and pollution can cause or worsen acne. There are also certain medications that can cause acne as a side effect.
HOW DO YOU TREAT ACNE?
Retin-A has been around for years and is very effective.
Antibiotics and antibacterial Topicals can also help. Cortisone Injections are used to make large pimples and cysts flatten out. Chemical Peels performed by a skin therapist are modest and supportive benefits. However Acid Peels must be performed once a month. Although there are many Laser and Light Therapies available, only a few successfully treat acne.
